These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the File Expert Pro Android application (“the App”) distributed on Google Play. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Description of the App

File Expert Pro is a file manager that helps you browse, organize, search, copy, move, archive, and otherwise manage files on your device and supported storage (such as SD card / USB OTG where available). Features may also include a private folder, FTP access, media helpers, and optional cleanup helpers for reviewing common leftover files.

The App is not antivirus or security software and does not guarantee virus detection, malware removal, battery life improvements, or performance boosts.

2. Eligibility and account

• You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law and meet the minimum age required in your country (and at least 13 years old where that is the Google Play / COPPA baseline).
• You are responsible for your device, Google account settings, and any permissions you grant.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, solely for personal or internal use, subject to these Terms and Google Play policies. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the App except as allowed by mandatory law.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use the App only for lawful purposes and only with files and storage you are authorized to access.
• Back up important data. File operations (delete, move, overwrite, format-related actions, uninstall, etc.) can cause irreversible loss.
• Use FTP / network features carefully; you are responsible for network security on networks you join.
• Do not attempt to interfere with advertising measurement, analytics, or the App’s security mechanisms.

5. Permissions and system features

Some features require Android permissions (for example all-files access, usage access, notifications, install/uninstall packages). Denying a permission may disable the related feature. Granting a permission does not mean we upload your personal files for file management.

6. Ads and third-party services

• The App may display ads (including Google AdMob) and use analytics / attribution tools (including Firebase and Adjust).
• Third-party services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services you open.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, trademarks, and software (excluding open-source components distributed under their own licenses), is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that cleanup / memory / storage helpers will free a specific amount of space or improve performance.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim (or USD $0 if the App is free), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of others’ rights (including unauthorized access to files or systems).

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or discontinue the App or certain features, or terminate your license, if you violate these Terms, if required by law or Google Play policies, or for maintenance / product changes. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the App, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Disputes should first be attempted to be resolved by contacting us.
